The RFU have overhauled their online learning system. The new England Rugby Learning platform, which can be accessed on a browser or mobile app has been designed with devices in mind.

So what does that mean for us as match officials? Well two main ways:

• All of the pre-season learning we ask you to complete (Headcase, Intro to Safeguarding etc.) are now hosted in one easy to find location.
  This is all part of an “Active Match Official” accreditation which should be completed each season and is free of charge.
• The entry level referee (Ready2Ref) and coaching courses (ERCA) are now both administered through England Rugby Learning and cost £45 – after completing the online content, you are then able to book onto a F2F day and complete the course.

What do we need you to do?

1. Go onto England Rugby Learning and complete your active match official badge
2. advise anyone who shows an interest in refereeing to get on to England Rugby Learning and get going with “Take up the Whistle” (free) and “Ready2Ref” (£45)
